About Forisk

Founded in 2004, Forisk analyzes forest supplies, wood demand and timber pricing to develop forecasts and strategic guidance for clients.  Our approach emphasizes rigorous research, clear communication, localized analysis and direct forestry experience.

We conduct original, nationally cited research. Forisk publishes research in North America’s top forest industry journals.  Leading media outlets – including The Wall Street Journal, New York Times, and National Public Radio – cite our analysis and, in 2015, Forisk was named a “Bulldog 100 Fastest Growing Business” for the 4th time since 2010.

We “teach the teachers.” Forest industry professionals and investors attend our short courses to learn skills and gain insights.  Our workshops and conference presentations consistently score as “outstanding” and “best in show.”

We start with mills and local timber markets.  Capital allocation and investment decisions in the forest industry require localized analysis and forecasts.  Our entire research program builds on mill-by-mill, market-by-market analysis.

We understand forestry.  All of our researchers have forestry degrees and hands-on experience, including wood procurement, land management and forest operations.
