Description
In the spring of 2017, Forisk surveyed the management practices of institutional and industrial timberland owners and managers in Oregon, Washington, Idaho and Montana. This report provides an analysis of silvicultural treatments including site preparation, planting, pre-commercial thinning, harvesting, and fertilization on over 4 million acres by sub-region. In addition, the costs of both management practices and overhead are provided. Results also include acres under certification, non-timber revenue sources, and cut and haul costs.
