Wood Bioenergy US Free Summary

Forisk tracks, screens, and analyzes all wood-using bioenergy projects and sectors in the United States.

As of February 2026, Forisk’s Wood Bioenergy US Database tracks 385 operating and announced wood-using bioenergy projects. These projects represent a combined potential wood consumption of 119.8 million green tons per year. Based on Forisk’s viability screening, 354 projects pass, with 119 in the North, 145 in the South, and 90 in the West, indicating potential wood use of 99.3 million green tons per year.
